Named after the Hohe Sarstein, which lies between Upper Austria and Styria, the Dachstein Sarstein GTX lives up to its name. If you want to reward yourself with the panorama on the 1,975 meter high summit, you first have to prove your stamina and step resistance. This is where the new Dachstein hiking shoe has found its terrain and reveals its strengths: The exclusive Vibram® Serpent sole is made for long hikes on challenging terrain. The specially arranged studs are one millimetre higher on the heel than on the forefoot. This not only improves the grip when going downhill, it also supports ergonomic rolling. The PU midsole absorbs shocks, especially in the heel and toe area. The anatomical tongue construction nestles against the foot for comfort and an optimal fit throughout the day. For the upper material, Dachstein uses the robust and technical Perwanger® suede from Italy. A Liba® Smart toe guard also protects against abrasion. The shoe is also equipped with a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX membrane for weather changes or small detours through the mountain stream. The Sarstein GTX is manufactured in Europe.
