Luhta.com – Nordic house of brands for sports, outdoors and more

People are at the heart of our sustainability work and our own personnel are important to us. Luhta employs more than 1,000 experts, each of whom contributes to the growth and success of our company. Our culture is based on our values and a good employee experience. Occupational safety, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion are at the core of what we do. Meaningful work and strong team spirit are valued at our workplace. Each of us has an important role to play as part of the team we belong to, and we respect one another. The professionalism of our teams is best described by strong competence, innovation and endless enthusiasm. We are aware that we are a major employer in the Finnish textile industry, and we want to contribute to the continuous professional development of our employees.

Personnel wellbeing

We recognize that committed, content and competent personnel are key to maintaining our competitiveness in an ever-changing environment. Our goal is that our mission “We inspire an active and healthy lifestyle from one generation to another” is also reflected within our company and is part of our HR policy. In the future, we want to do more to encourage and inspire our personnel to engage in wellbeing activities both at work and in their free time. We

have taken a number of concrete steps to improve wellbeing, working capacity and competence. We use the Siqni employee survey to identify and track what our employees think is meaningful and how these important choices are implemented in our company. The survey enables us to increase our understanding of our employees and to target development measures for our work community. Through various employee initiatives, like the introduction of a wellbeing committee, we have engaged every Luhta employee to take better care of their own wellbeing and that of their colleagues.

Occupational health and safety

The health and safety of our employees is a priority for Luhta, and we want to proactively promote the wellbeing of our employees and effectively prevent accidents at work. Promoting occupational health and safety is therefore a key part of our operations and management processes. The identification, assessment and management of occupational health and safety risks is a systematic effort that we undertake in cooperation with our employees and stakeholders. Working capacity issues at Luhta are the responsibility of the occupational health and safety organization together with the managing director and HR. The aim of the occupational health and safety collaboration is to safeguard and promote issues related to the safety, health and working capacity of employees. The occupational health and safety work makes use of the company’s annual risk mapping, the workplace surveys carried out by occupational health and the expertise of occupational health as the company’s occupational health expert. Our aim is to enable effective and efficient occupational health care services for all our employees; in 2023, among other things, we developed and further expanded occupational health care services for our employees

Diversity

Social responsibility also includes taking account of and developing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Luhta aims to promote the growth of all these aspects within the company. Equity and equality for all members of the work community must be a core principle in all our operations. Equity is also taken into account in our policy documents and internal guidelines. Maintaining and promoting equity is also part of our occupational health and safety function and its implementation is regularly monitored in the company. At Luhta, we support inclusion by creating an environment where individuals can express their views in a psychologically safe environment, and belonging by ensuring that everyone feels part of the work community.
