With our roots in the heart of the Alps and our background in mountain sports, we have developed shoes for alpine and urban terrain since 1925. That is when our story began, with Anton Lintner setting up a shoemaker's shop in Molln and naming it after Dachstein, the highest mountain in Upper Austria.

In 2025, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of Dachstein shoes and today we are part of a leading Finnish clothing group, Luhta Sportswear Company, also one of the largest sportswear companies in Europe.

We have numerous inspiring individuals working on our brand, both at our home office in Salzburg and at Luhta Sportswear Company's headquarters in Lahti, Finland. For us, alpinism is not a sport or a competition, but a philosophy, a way of life and our passion.
