Rukka has been a leader in the field of protective clothing for decades, which makes us experts in protecting you from all kinds of weather conditions. Yet, the extreme northern climate doesn't only test people but pets too. This is the incentive that drove us to create all-weather products for dogs, as well.

Our story
The story of Rukka Pets began in 2011 with the aim of bringing joy and comfort to pets' daily activities – never compromising on fitting, functionality or quality. The Rukka brand, however, dates all the way back to the 1950s, when Roger Störling founded his family business and quickly specialized in making waterproof rainwear. Since then, Rukka has become famous for making highly functional and protective outerwear for outdoor, ski, motorcycle and pet enthusiasts around the world.
Since 1990 Rukka has been a part of Luhta Sportswear Company, one of the largest clothing manufacturers in the Nordic countries.Utilizing the company’s extensive product know-how and sourcing capabilities, we are able to offer top-of-the-market quality and durability, still for reasonable pricing. Today we work with the largest pet specialty companies worldwide and are the top brand globally in functional outdoor pet wear.

We hold ourselves to a high standard when it comes to the performance of our products. We use the latest trend analytics and materials together with our human wear brands, bringing a unique touch to our assortment. All our materials are tested against tearing and to endure heavy usage.
Rukka Pets products take inspiration from Nordic nature in their unique design with recognizable and colour-coordinated looks. In the design process, the focus lies on practicality and comfort, as functionality and quality are things we never compromise on.
Rukka Pets collection consists of more than 100 different products in more than 10 categories and our main category of functional outdoor clothing for pets has over 30 different models offering protection options for all possible weather conditions. In line with our values, we make products that are beneficial to pets and have a specific function that helps them enjoy their daily lives. That's why all our products are designed with the pet's comfort first and with features that serve the purpose for which the product is intended.

We truly understand the role of dogs as full members of the family, as we are dog fanatics and pet parents ourselves. We value all dogs no matter their breed or size and therefore we offer sizes starting from the smallest Chihuahua going up to a Great Dane. Our products’ careful tailoring and multiple adjustments ensure perfect fitting and enable you to find just the right size for your pet. In addition to adjustability, we also pay high attention to details that, for example, ease dressing, ensure waterproofness or otherwise enhance convenience.

Rukka Pets has collaborated with a variety of renowned brands and organizations over the years. We are passionate about combining excellence and vision across different sectors, but also about the opportunities to offer our expertise and help to others.
We’ve been collaborating with, for example, fashion brands BilleBeino and Balmuir and the Finnish tv show Koti koiralle (The Dog House). Rukka also provides clothing and gear for Finnish cross-country skier Jasmi Joensuu and her adorable dog Keijo.
